Songbird Media Player

What is Songbird?
Songbird is free software media player and web browser developed by Pioneers of the Inevitable (with members who previously developed for both Winamp and the Yahoo! Music Engine), with a stated mission "to incubate Songbird, the first Web player, to catalyze and champion a diverse, open Media Web."[1] Songbird runs on Mozilla's XULRunner platform, thus capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, and most distributions of Linux. On the Windows and Macintosh platforms, Songbird utilizes the VideoLAN Client for media playback. For Linux, Songbird utilizes the GStreamer Media Framework instead of the VideoLAN.
Features

Users can add features and change functionality in Songbird by installing extensions. Community coded extensions are available on Songbird's add-ons support page. Known community designed extensions are: Qloud Tagging & Search, eMusic Integration, iTunes Importer, iPod Device, Artist Tracker, Library File Organizer, Audioscrobbler Notifier, Wikipedia Artist Display, SHOUTcast Radio Directory, UnPlug, Adblock Plus (install.rdf must be modified), Taglib metadata handler and Minimize-to-Systemtray.Skins are referred to as "feathers" in Songbird.
Localization
There are 98 localizations of Songbird currently being developed at various stages. Localizations are done on a volunteer basis. Songbird encourages developers from all languages and locales to help update and develop localizations so that Songbird can be available in each of the 482 language tags established by the IETF for all 567 localities of the world. Songbird has made this project available at Translate Songbird!.
Web Browsing
As Songbird has a built-in web browser, it needs a user agent string to identify itself. For example, Songbird responds with the following user agent under an American version of Windows XP Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; RV:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121916 Songbird/0.4 (20071226135127)

I really appreciate those guys who comes with the idea of this player. really nice even it support extension like Mozilla FireFox Internet Browser. So that's mean you can customize it. Songbird replaces iTunes. Well, It can play MP3, Mpeg4, OGG Vorbis, Speex, AAC, WMA, WMADRM, FLAC and less important LPCM, ADPCM, AMR(your recording from Nokia Mobile Phones) With Quick Time playback and Windows Media. But, if you're a developer, you can teach Songbird how to play your favorite format! or even somebody will teaching and let you know when he/she get done with it, I'm sure.
